There’s been a lot happening on site over the past few weeks—and if there’s one thing that stands out, it’s how no two projects ever follow the exact same path.
Croydon Project: Evolving the Plan for Real-Life Use
Our Croydon project has taken an exciting turn.
What started as one direction has now evolved into something far more functional and tailored to how the clients will actually use the space day-to-day.
Working together, we reimagined the block into a split-level backyard, unlocking a huge amount of usable space that simply wasn’t there before.
At the centre of this transformation is a large split-height concrete retaining wall, designed not just for structure, but to create defined zones across the yard.
This new layout opens the door for:
- A dedicated basketball court area
- Open lawn space for the family
- Garden beds to soften and balance the hard finishes
- Clear separation of levels that actually makes the block feel bigger
It’s a great example of what can happen when you don’t just stick to the original plan—but instead adapt and design around how the space will truly be lived in.

Langwarrin: Big Scale, Clean Finish
Coming up soon, we’re gearing up for a large-scale project in Langwarrin, and this one is all about finish and precision.
We’re set to deliver around 300m² of pavilion-style concrete, which will form the backbone of the entire outdoor space.
For those who know our work, this finish is a standout:
- Clean, architectural look
- Ground and refined for a premium feel
- Practical, durable, and built for Australian conditions
On a project of this size, consistency is everything—and getting that right is where experience really shows.
Ferntree Gully: Back to Nature
We’re also looking forward to kicking off a new project in Ferntree Gully—this one with a strong native Australian theme.
Think:
- Natural textures
- Layered native planting
- Spaces that feel relaxed, grounded, and connected to the environment
These are the types of projects that age beautifully over time—where the landscaping settles in and becomes part of the landscape, not just something added to it.
Thought of the Month
“A great outdoor space doesn’t just look good—it changes how you live at home.”
It’s something we see all the time. The best projects aren’t just about finishes—they’re about creating spaces people actually use.
Melbourne Rainfall Snapshot
In Melbourne, Victoria, rainfall this month has been a good reminder of just how important proper planning and drainage is in any landscape build.
With totals sitting around 40–60mm for the month so far (depending on location), we’ve seen firsthand how well-prepared sites perform—and how quickly poor drainage can become an issue.
It’s why we place such a strong focus on:
- Correct fall and levels
- Sub-base preparation
- Drainage solutions that actually work long-term
Because a great landscape isn’t just about how it looks on day one—it’s about how it performs in real conditions.
Looking Ahead
From adapting designs on the fly in Croydon, to large-scale concrete work in Langwarrin, and natural landscapes in Ferntree Gully—it’s shaping up to be a diverse and exciting run of projects.
As always, we’re focused on delivering spaces that feel right for the home, the block, and the people living in them.
If you’re thinking about transforming your outdoor space, now’s the time to start the conversation.
